Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your enrollment in and use of the Paws with Purpose Coaching program. I’ve written them in plain language wherever possible, because you deserve to understand exactly what you’re agreeing to. Please read them before enrolling. By enrolling in any program tier or using the community, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover
Paws with Purpose Coaching LLC, doing business as Paws with Purpose Coaching (“we,” “us,” “I,” or “Brenda”) provides an online coaching and educational program for people with disabilities who are training their own service dogs. These Terms apply to pawswithpurposecoaching.com, the program curriculum and community (hosted on Skool), coaching calls, video reviews, and all related services (together, the “Program”).
These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled.
2. Eligibility
The Program is intended for adults. By enrolling, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, whichever is greater) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Enrollment, Tiers, and Payment
The Program is offered in three tiers: Foundation, Guided, and Intensive. Each tier is a one-time payment, processed securely through our payment processor. Current pricing and tier details are listed on the enrollment page. All prices are in U.S. dollars.
- Upgrades: you may upgrade to a higher tier at any time, even after your program period ends, by paying the difference in list price between your original tier and the new one. Upgrades to Intensive are subject to available space.
- Intensive capacity: the Intensive tier is limited to 10 active clients at any one time. If it is at capacity, you may join a waiting list or enroll in Guided and upgrade when a spot opens.
- Promotional pricing: if you enroll during a promotion, your upgrade price is still calculated from list prices, so your savings stay with you.
- Military and first responder pricing: active duty military, veterans, and front line first responders (police, fire, EMS) receive 25% off any tier. Proof of current or prior service is required. Full details and the verification process are on the enrollment page.
Payment must be received before Program access is granted. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access until it is resolved.
4. Refund Policy
I want you to enroll with confidence, and I also need to protect the time and coaching this Program delivers. Here is the policy:
- You may request a full refund within 14 days of your enrollment date, minus the value of any one-on-one services already delivered to you (such as completed 1:1 coaching calls or completed video reviews, valued at the standalone rate listed on the website).
- After 14 days, all sales are final, except where required otherwise by law.
- To request a refund, email pawswithpurposecoaching@aol.com with your name and enrollment date. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
- Refunded members lose access to the curriculum, community, and all Program services.
5. Program Access and Duration
- Foundation: ongoing access to the curriculum and community for as long as the Program operates.
- Guided: everything in Foundation, plus group coaching calls and video reviews for the 6-month program period. After the program period ends, you retain ongoing access to the curriculum and community.
- Intensive: everything in Guided, plus 1:1 coaching calls and expanded video reviews for the 5-month program period. After the program period ends, you retain ongoing access to the curriculum and community.
“Lifetime access” and “ongoing access” mean the lifetime of the Program, not your lifetime or mine. If the Program ever closes permanently, I will give reasonable advance notice so you can download or complete what you need. Coaching periods (Guided and Intensive) begin on your enrollment date unless we agree otherwise in writing. Unused calls or reviews do not roll over past the program period and have no cash value, though I aim to be flexible when health or life circumstances interfere, just talk to me.
6. Your License to the Program Content
All Program content, including videos, written lessons, worksheets, trackers, scripts, and community posts by me, is owned by Paws with Purpose Coaching and protected by copyright. When you enroll, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the content for your own service dog training. You agree not to:
- Share, resell, publish, or redistribute Program content, including sharing your login with others
- Copy the curriculum to create a competing program or product
- Record or redistribute coaching calls or community discussions without permission
Anything you create for your own use (your training logs, your notes, videos of your own dog) is yours.
7. Community Conduct
The community is a support space for people navigating disability and service dog training. To keep it safe and useful, you agree to:
- Treat other members with respect. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks.
- Not give medical, legal, or veterinary advice to other members. Sharing your own experience is welcome; presenting it as professional advice is not.
- Not spam, advertise, or recruit members for other programs or businesses.
- Respect other members’ privacy. What is shared in the community stays in the community.
I may remove content or suspend or remove members who violate these standards. Removal for a serious or repeated conduct violation does not entitle a member to a refund outside the refund policy in Section 4.
8. Important Disclaimers
This is education and coaching, not professional advice
The Program provides educational content and coaching based on my training and lived experience. It does not constitute legal, medical, veterinary, or mental health advice. Content touching on the ADA, Fair Housing Act, air travel, or other legal topics is for informational purposes only. Laws and regulations vary by location and situation. Please consult a qualified attorney or disability rights organization for guidance specific to your circumstances, and consult your physician or veterinarian for medical or veterinary concerns.
No guarantee of outcomes
Every dog, handler, and disability is different. I do not and cannot guarantee that your dog will successfully complete training, pass any evaluation (such as the Canine Good Citizen test or a Public Access Test), qualify as a service dog, or perform tasks reliably. Some dogs wash out of service work despite excellent training, and the Program is honest about that reality. Your results will depend on many factors, including your dog’s temperament and health, your consistency, and circumstances outside anyone’s control.
Assumption of risk
Dog training involves inherent risks, including the risk of bites, scratches, falls, property damage, and injury to you, your dog, or third parties. You are solely responsible for your dog’s behavior, supervision, and welfare at all times, including during any training activity described in the Program. You agree to use your own judgment about which activities are appropriate for you and your dog, to comply with all local laws (including leash, vaccination, and licensing requirements), and to stop any activity that appears unsafe. By enrolling, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with training and handling your dog.
9. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when enrolling and in your interactions with me.
- You are responsible for your dog’s health, safety, and behavior, and for any harm your dog causes.
- You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including service dog laws in your state and locality.
- The Program is built for people with disabilities as defined by the ADA. Misrepresenting a pet as a service dog harms the entire service dog community, and the Program does not support it.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paws with Purpose Coaching and Brenda Renou will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the Program, your training activities, or your use of the website or community. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Program will not exceed the amount you paid for your Program tier.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Third-Party Platforms
The Program relies on third-party platforms, including Skool (community and curriculum), Stripe (payments), and Calendly (scheduling). Their availability and functionality are outside my control, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. I am not responsible for outages, changes, or data practices of third-party platforms, though I will always work to keep the Program accessible if a platform changes.
12. Termination
You may leave the Program at any time (refunds are governed by Section 4). I may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, including community conduct violations, content sharing violations, or abusive behavior toward me or other members. Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If you have a concern or dispute, please contact me first at pawswithpurposecoaching@aol.com. Most issues can be resolved with a conversation, and you agree to attempt informal resolution for at least 30 days before filing any formal proceeding.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts. Either of us may instead pursue an eligible claim in small claims court.
14. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time as the Program grows or laws change. When I do, I will update the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes I will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled members. Changes apply going forward and will not retroactively reduce what you already purchased. Your continued use of the Program after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
15. General Provisions
- Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver: if I don’t enforce a provision right away, that doesn’t waive my right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your enrollment or these Terms to anyone else without my written consent.
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the complete agreement between us regarding the Program.
- Electronic acceptance: enrolling online, checking an acceptance box, or completing payment constitutes your agreement to these Terms, with the same effect as a signature.
Questions?
If anything in these Terms is unclear, ask me before you enroll. I’d rather answer questions up front than have surprises later.
